Rockyview Ranch
Rockyview Ranch is a family run operation on 90 acres on Valley Floor of the ranching community in Westcliffe, CO. Orva and Ada Mae Yoder moved to this beautiful valley in 2007 which sits at 8,000 ft elevation with rugged mountains up to 14,300 ft elevation nearby and has gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. The good Lord blessed them with 4 children, Amy Lynn, Anthony, Lauverne, and Ruth Ann, who all take part in taking care of the ranch and riding horses. They grow and bale their own hay with draft horses and draft crosses.
They enjoy having a wide range of horses in their program: drafts, draft crosses, quarter horses, ponies and minis. At the completion of their program, the horses are ready to move forward in careers such as pleasure, trails, ranching, parade, and working jobs. They also instill principles that would easily prepare the horses to develop further into mounted patrol, performance, dressage, and carriage horses.
Alongside the horses the Yoders own Rocky View Construction which specializes in horse barns, riding arenas, shops, garages, small commercial buildings, and barndominiums. When they aren't working you may find them at horse sales, trail riding, swimming, hunting, fishing or wintering in Texas or Arizona.
The Yoders have strong family values of faith, love, hard work, long days, integrity, and keeping all that they do family oriented. These values insure the horses are taken care of and trained in a family atmosphere, have a strong foundation, and are sold with honesty.
