Kendon Hortin

Hello, my is Kendon Hortin I grew up in Summit County, Utah. I grew up and rode side by side my grandfather who is one of the best horseman that I know. He has rode with a lot of the greats! I grew up showing reining cow horses and competed competitively in the Utah Reining Cowhorse Association, then went to high school rodeo and competed in Team Roping, Tie Down Roping and in Reining Cowhorse. I was fortunate enough to make nationals in the Reining Cowhorse and finished in the top 30 in the world.

Fast forward a few years I hired on to the Diamond Fork Association and was the range rider for two years in Spanish Fork Canyon. After that I went to Myton, Utah and rode for the Price Ranch and watched over their herd of cows. I further had the opportunity to come work for a ranch in Wanship, Utah to better my horsemanship.  I have been blessed to ride under some great horseman: Ben Baldus, JD Yates, Von Kanudsen and Buck Brannanman. I am very grateful to have been able to ride under these horseman the past few years, they all have shown different disciplines. I learned that they all have phenomenal horsemanship which I have strived towards my whole life. I take pride in my horsemanship and the horses I have the opportunity to ride.
